Support Service for the Visually Impaired and their Care-givers
Introduction
The Support Service for the Visually Impaired & their Care-givers aims to provide one-stop support services to the visually impaired persons, their family members and care-givers so as to help them resolve the problems encountered in daily life or referral service by social worker to make good use of community resources and service to meet with their various needs.
Objectives
- To provide community support service to people with visual impairment of all ages and their family members to tackle problems arising from visual impairment and disabilities;
- To provide emotional and psychosocial support to visually impaired persons and their family members;
- To provide referral services to visually impaired persons and their family members to meet with their various needs;
- To promote the spirit of mutual help among the visually impaired persons and their family members;
- To enhance visually impaired persons’ participation in the community and gain wider exposure for better social inclusion.

Fee
Free of charge except programme fees
Application
All qualified applicants can apply by completing the application form and submit it with valid documentation certifying visual impairment.
Withdrawal
Withdrawal from service must be applied in person via proper procedure.

Mondays to Saturdays: 9:30am-1:00pm / 2:00pm-5:30pm
