Introduction
Vision Screening Service was launched by the General Eye and Low Vision Centre in December 2003. The project aims to provide vision assessments and eye care talks to kindergarten students, the physically disabled and the elderly to prevent vision loss.
Services
1. Eye Care Talk
Tailor-made topics depending on the targeted audiences, including: common eye diseases for the elderly and their treatments, common eye diseases for the children and their treatments, introduction to low vision devices and living skills for the visually impaired, and ocular hygiene.
2. Vision Assessments
Optometrists and eye care assistants provide simple and efficient vision examination and assessment which include, colour vision, stereopsis, cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration, binocular vision, and refractive errors, etc.
