Established in 1986, offered 78 slots for female elders with visual impairment in care and attention section.

1.  Dementia Care Service and facilities for the visually impaired residents:

2.  Integrated Therapy Services

Integrated Therapy Team includes Occupational Therapist I, Physiotherapist I and Speech Therapist, applying the innovative technology and therapeutic equipment, collaboration work with various universities on multi-disciplinary model care and inter-academic research projects to provide residents with appropriate rehabilitation assessment, review and treatment.

3.  Elder Academy

To echo with Government’s “Life-long Learning” slogan, in 2011, HKSB joined hands with secondary schools in the neighborhood and established a visually impaired elder academy - “Ki Yan Elder Academy”, located inside the Kowloon Home for the Aged Blind.

Secondary school students acted as teaching assistants or volunteers to assist the visually impaired elderly in learning computer, music, art, languages, and outdoor activities, etc.  In 2015, it was funded by the Elderly Academy Development Fund of the Elderly commission.

4.  Ozone Laundry System

Ozone laundry system was installed in the Home to wash clothing’s and beddings for the residents for further prevention of infectious disease and promoting environmental protection by reducing the use of chemical and energy.

Mondays to Sundays: 8:00am to 8:00pm
