Donor Recognition Award Scheme

Introduction
The Hong Kong Society for the Blind is a charitable organization. One of its sources of income comes from individual donors/corporations’ generous contributions that are utilized to provide quality services to the visually impaired.

Objective
The scheme aims to recognize the outstanding contribution and or long-term donation from donors, and to promote their better understanding of our services to strengthen mutual trust.

Donation Award Criteria and Category
Two award categories:
1. Generous Giving Angel Award
2. Long-term Giving Award

Counting Period

1. Year Term : from 1st January to 31st December

2. Coverage :

Generous Giving Angel Award - the last 2 years

Long-term Giving Award – the last 5 years

Generous Giving Angel Award

Generous Giving Angel Awards are given out in five levels namely Gold Diamond, Purple Crystal, Gold, Silver and Bronze under Individual and Corporation categories.

Donors will receive recognition when the cumulative amount of donation achieve the following level in the past two years :

Gold Diamond	HK$300,000 and above	HK$1,000,000 and above
Purple Crystal	above HK$200,000 to below HK$300,000	above HK$400,000 to below $1,000,000

Silver	HK$50,000 to HK$100,000	HK$100,000 to HK$200,000
Bronze	HK$10,000 to below HK$50,000	HK$20,000 to below HK$100,000

Long-term Giving Awards

Long-term Giving Award recognizes individual and corporate donors for their persistent support. Individuals and Corporations donate not less than HK$2,000 and HK$10,000 per annum respectively in the past five years would be commended the prize of Long-term Giving Award.

If the cumulative donation amount achieve HK$300,000 (Individual) or HK$1 million (Corporation), the donor would be further recognized the “Long-term Giving (Excellence) Award”.

Long-term Giving (Excellence Award)	Donate not less than HK$2,000 per annum in the last 5 years ; and cumulative donation amount achieve HK$300,000	Donate not less than HK$10,000 per annum in the last 5 years ; and cumulative donation amount achieve HK$1,000,000

Recognition Ceremony
The commended donors would be invited to attend the "Volunteers, Donors cum Corporate Partners Appreciation Ceremony" to receive the awards.
