Thanks to "Willie & Sylvia Stewart Memorial Fund"

We wish to express heartfelt thanks to the "Willie & Sylvia Stewart Memorial Fund" for supporting our General Eye and Low Vision Centre to implement the "Ophthalmology Surgery Funding Scheme" from March 2019.  Surgical subsidy was given to patients with financial difficulties to cope with the increasing burden of medical expenses, such that patients in need would not have to delay their treatment due to financial problems.

This funding programme was successfully concluded by mid-October this year, and a total of 237 ophthalmic operations were funded. On behalf of the beneficiaries, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the "Willie & Sylvia Stewart Memorial Fund".   In addition, we are grateful to the HSBC Trustee (HK) Ltd for its trust towards HKSB in the past, entrusting and authorizing our General Eye and Low Vision Centre to be fully responsible for assessing the applications, granting approval, and handling all the logistics for the surgeries.

We shall continue to seek sponsorship from different charitable funds to provide assistance to patients with financial difficulties.
