Connecting 2022 with 1963 ─ Factory for the Blind (real-time online tour)

With the development of the society, the Factory for the Blind will be dismantled and redeveloped. To let our public to understand more about Factory for the Blind’s history and its future development, a real-time online tour namely as 「Connecting 2022 with 1963」 that was sponsored by Kowloon City District Office, and supported by Ngong Ping 360 Team, was held on 23 July by The Hong Kong Society for the Blind successfully.  There were around 400 audiences joined and followed by the professional Ngong Ping 360 tour guide to know more about our service users’ diversified training projects. 

 

Through the speeches of our top management, such as Ms. Maureen Tam, Chief Executive, Mr. Sean Fong, Director (Vocational Rehabilitation Services) and Mr. Danny Chan, Factory Manager, public will understand more about the reason and aim of this redevelopment project.  Benefited by the「Special scheme on privately owned sites for welfare uses」,numbers of service users will be added and shortened their waiting time.  Moreover, Factory can establish their elderly rehabilitation training program, to meet the needs of redevelopment of our society and those can be benefited to more service users. At last, throughout this training, the public are able to understand their abilities, enhance their social inclusion activities and chance of their open employment.
