2013 VOLUNTEERS, DONORS CUM CORPORATE SUPPORTERS APPRECIATION CEREMONY

The “2013 Volunteers, Donors cum Corporate Supporters Appreciation Ceremony” was successfully held on 22 March 2013. More than 300 volunteers including individuals, service groups and organizations were awarded Golden Diamond, Purple Crystal, Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards respectively; while 33 individuals, groups and corporations were awarded the “Caring Corporation / Supporter”. Around 180 of the awardees attended the Ceremony. There were a total of 1,095 volunteers providing over 50 thousands hours voluntary services to the visually impaired persons during the past two years.

We were grateful to Ms Nancy Law, Chairman of HKSB, Mr Lam Ka Tai, Assistant Director (Rehabilitation and Medical Social Services) of Social welfare Department, Ms Camilla Tsang, Chairman, Fundraising & Promotion Committee of Agency of Volunteer Service, Ms Candy Chea, Founding President of Hong Kong Volunteer Awardees Society and Ms Jade Kwan, 2012 Ten Outstanding Young Persons and Hong Kong Volunteer Awardee, for their presence to officiate at the Ceremony. 
To express our gratitude for the generous donations from donors, the “Generous Giving Angel Award”, “Long-term Giving Award” and “Excellence Care Award” were presented to 80 donors / corporations this year.
In addition, to thank for the active participation of a number of organizations at our Flag Day which was held on 19 January 2013, “The Highest Fund Raising Amount Award” and “The Most no. of Volunteer Recruited Award” were presented to six organizations at the ceremony too.
