Speech by the Chief Executive

I am honored to be the Chief Executive of HKSB and deeply feel that I am charged with a heavy responsibility. Over the past 67 years, HKSB has overcome various challenges and forged ahead with progressive development. Despite changes in the social environment and the impact of the epidemic, our pace has not slowed down. Now that the torch has been passed into my hands, I have the responsibility to lead and move HKSB forward.

2024 will be an important year. In the new normal, we need to identify new service needs and refine our strategic direction. We will continue to pay attention to and respond to the needs and challenges of the visually impaired to ensure that our services can adapt to the changing times. Our dedicated staff and teams will work in unity to deliver person-centered and professional services to our service users. We will keep up the momentum we have started, leverage our strengths and identify new growth directions.

With a strong brand, reputation, system, tools and people, I believe we will make significant progress toward realizing our vision.
