Deafblind Angels showed love and care in Mid-Autumn Festivals
Many of deafblind members are feeling bored to stay home during the pandemic of COVID-19. Resource Centre for the Deafblind recruited 18 deafblind members, carers and Communicator Guide to form a team of “Deafblind Angels”, home visits the members during Mid-Autumn Festivals. They visited over 30 deafblind families in few days in different districts all over Hong Kong.
Members were deeply touched by their action and excited to meet their deafblind friends.
Deafblind Volunteers:
“We, as a deafblind, feel connected to have someone to share and care with. Thank you for the Centre’s arrangement and Communicator Guide lead us the way to make this meaningful visit happened. ”
Communicator Guide:
“It was my first time to partner with a deafblind person to do volunteer work. They were so motivated and involved in helping others. That’s really impressive!”
