HKSB 70th Anniversary - Sports Day for the Visually Impaired Empowering Senior Vitality to Shine

To mark the 70th anniversary milestone of HKSB, Residential Services organized the "70th Anniversary Sports Day" on July 6, 2026, at the MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok. This event was not only a sports competition, but also a vibrant stage showcasing the life vitality of visually impaired residents.

We would like to express special thanks to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Home for the Visually Impaired and the Ebenezer School & Home for the Blind for their strong support and active participation. Together, we created a unique athletic competition for over 100 visually impaired residents.

The Sports Day event consists of five competitions named “wheelchair sprint match”, “hand-cycle match”, “bowling match”, “tic-tac-toe throwing match” and “stick football match”. Each competition has been thoughtfully tailored and adapted by our physiotherapists to cater specifically to residents with varying levels of ability, ensuring that every individual can truly experience the joy of sports.
