Introduction
| The first Deafblind Resource Centre is established through the generous support of the Marden Foundation and Mrs. Anne Marden. The Centre provides information on various resource materials to meet with the special needs of the Deafblind of different ages to facilitate their learning, daily living and social adjustment. |

Objective
The centre aims to provide on-going support to the Deafblind people, their relatives and the rehabilitation workers in order to facilitate the rehabilitation process and strengthen the living skills of Deafblind people.
Target Group
Deafblind people of all ages, their relatives and the rehabilitation workers working with Deafblind.
Services Provided
1) Hotline Enquiry Service
To provide telephone hotline service for the relatives of Deafblind people and the rehabilitation worker concerning learning, caring and resource support.
2) Resource Library Service
To provide various resource materials like reference books, cassettes, videos and CDs to facilitate the understanding of Deafblind people and their rehabilitation.
3) Community Services Referral
To provide community service referral for the Deafblind people and their family members such that they are able to receive suitable professional services like counseling services, occupational therapy, physiotherapy services, educational services, and etc.
4)
Adaptive Aids Consultancy Services
To provide adaptive aids consultancy service to facilitate daily living skills and communication of the Deafblind people.
5) Educational Talk
To organize educational talks and workshops in order to provide new information and method about caring and training of Deafblind people.
6) Community Education
To liaise with community groups in the neighborhoods and in other districts for promotion of Deafblind service in order to facilitate the care and acceptance to the Deafblind people.

Tactual Sign Language (TSL) |
People who are deafblind have various degree of impairment on both vision and hearing. There are ranges of ways to communicate like Braille, assistive communicative devices and Tactual Sign Language, for which the receiver placing their hands over the hands of the signer, so that they can feel the signs being used.
